Saving & Loading Workflows

Open Official Templates

Click the Templates icon on the sidebar and select the one you like

Saving Workflow (In Browser)

Save the created workflow inside ComfyUI.

1. Click Workflow in the header and select Save or Save as
1. Give it a name you like and Confirm (or Enter key)

Saved workflows can be called from the folder icon 📂 (or W key) on the left sidebar.

Exporting Workflow (Save as File)

Export the workflow as a .json file for sharing or backup.

Export as JSON File

1. Click Workflow in the header and select Export
1. Give it a name you like and Confirm (or Enter key)
1. Select the save destination and save

Embed in Generated Image and Save

Images generated by ComfyUI's standard image saving nodes (such as Save Image) automatically have workflow metadata (setting information) embedded. Just by loading this image, you can reproduce the workflow at the time of generation.

If you install custom nodes such as ComfyUI-Custom-Scripts, you can take a screenshot of the entire workflow and save it with metadata embedded.

Loading Saved Workflow

Open a workflow saved inside ComfyUI.

1. Click the folder icon 📂 (or W key) on the left sidebar
1. Click the workflow you want to open from the list

Loading External Files (JSON / Image)

Load .json files or images with metadata from your PC.

Method A: From Menu

1. Click Workflow in the header and select Open (or Ctrl + O)
1. Select the file and open

Method B: Drag & Drop

Drag & Drop the .json file or metadata-embedded image onto the ComfyUI canvas

Load from Text

If you have copied text data in JSON format, you can load it just by pasting (Ctrl + V) on ComfyUI.
